Access Solutions for Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)

Part 3 Access to Goods and Services Compliance

WOT Security Group specialise in a carefully chosen range of solutions and partnerships to enable us to deliver compliant DDA access solutions.

This revised Code of Practice deals with the duties placed by Part III of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 on those providing goods, facilities or services to the public and those selling, letting or managing premises. The Act makes it unlawful for service providers, landlords and other persons to discriminate against disabled people in certain circumstances.

The duties on service providers are:

From 1 October 2004 service providers may have to make other “reasonable adjustments” in relation to the physical features of their premises to overcome physical barriers to access.

We approach the design and specification of these systems by listening to the needs of our customers then submitting an agreed design brief that manages the risk and will deliver the intent. In our design brief we consider value-engineering solutions and include a supporting business case for this important investment.

These solutions range from stand-alone audio or video solutions through to systems, which are integrated to provide access through electrically, operated sliding or swinging doors

We have the experience and expertise to install, locking and access equipment onto a wide range of doors, and can offer solutions for solid glazed and aluminium section doors and frames.
