The London Metal Exchange (LME) provides the global forum for all those who wish to manage the risk of future price movements in non-ferrous metals and plastics. The LME is the futures exchange with the world's largest market in options and futures contracts on base and other metals, the total value of the trade is in excess of US $4,500 billion annually. The LME provides and oustanding service to industry through its activities, and has a great responsibility because of its pre-eminence in this field.
Following a security review LME identified improvements needed to potect the operation of the business and the security of the main entrance reception. The LME are proud of their regulatory standards and needed a security solution which promotes further confidence in the business.
By working closely with the LME FM Team, WOT Security were able to propose a security solution that exceeded their demanding operational and regulatory requirements. The integrated solution included Pelco CCTV digital recorders, Gunnebo speed lanes and biometic finger print readers. This provides restricted access and live monitoring of the trading floor activity. Monique Maughan Facilities Manager says "WOT Security did an excellent job for us on the installation of new entrance control Biometric speed lanes and upgrading of the LME's integrated security systems. The teamwork between WOT personnel and LME's personnel was impressive. Additionally, the after care provide by WOT Security is exceptional."
