PROJECT	INTEGRATED DIGITAL CCTV SYSTEMS

Over the years Hamleys has developed a reputation for choice, quality and innovation. The magical flagship store on Regent Street has seven floors packed full of toys and games, with live and interactive demonstrations.

Today, Hamleys is an internationally recognised toy retailer with ambitious plans to further grow the brand. The Hamleys Own collection, a branded range of toys and games, will continue their tradition of the "finest toys in the world". Plans for international stores and the launch of an exciting new user-friendly website will enable the Hamleys magic to be delivered throughout the world.

As part of the Hamleys retail space and franchise review, it was identified that the existing CCTV security system was unable to meet the current operational needs of the business. After detailed prequalification negotiations with a number of security integrators, WOT Security were appointed to design and install the new CCTV system.

The strengths of WOT Security's winning bid included a financially supported business case, the use of a complete system solution from Pelco CCTV and the transmission of live video over category 5 twisted data cables. Also important was the demonstrated ability to install the new system whilst leaving the existing system operation until final change-over, which minimised the disruption to the daily store operation.

PROJECT	DIGITAL CCTV SYSTEM

With a £2,000 loan Arthur Lasenby Liberty took on the lease of half a shop at 218a Regent Street. The shop opened in 1875 selling ornaments, fabric and objets d'art from Japan and the East. Within eighteen months Liberty had repaid the loan and acquired the second half of 218 Regent Street, as the business grew neighbouring properties were bought and added to form the now very familiar flagship London shopping landmark.

With the ongoing investment in the Liberty of London brand and the need to deliver efficiency and an enhanced customer experience, it was identified that a new store wide security management solution was needed.

WOT Security has proven experience of the retail market and proposed a flexible, scaleable security solution that promotes a secure environment and gives the security team the tools to manage shrinkage. This enabled a phased upgrade path from the existing security system. As well as taking into consideration the current security requirements, WOT Security have further been able to demonstrate future system integration with EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems.
